I almost have my work in progress (wip), query letter, and proposal ready to submit to agents, and occasionally I have moments of self doubt, so I asked Maree to talk to spirit about this. It’s difficult to give a reading to someone you know, because our mind is the pathway spirit uses to communicate with us. Maree already has an opinion on the situation, and everything she knows about me has to be put aside.
Maree writes her readings in private, and the words come so quickly that often her writing is illegible. When spirit disconnects from her, she remembers what they have said, and is then able to decipher her writing.
Here’s her reading:
Many times we get discouraged and we believe things are not moving as they should be, but the book is on its way. Don’t despair, Simon, it will go well, as we are behind your every word. We trust in your judgement as you trust in ours. We feel you should continue in the way you’re going. There are many big opportunities out there for you. We just need you to get through this big hurdle at the moment. Make the time and all will be well. Hang on, it won’t take much longer. Watch out for bad choices. Think from the heart before opening your mouth. Bad choices will make you stumble, so always watch your step.
I like this because it’s straight to the point and accurate.
• ... we believe things are not moving as they should be, ... This is a reminder that I’m not in control. What I think should be happening is not always what’s best. The writing wasn’t good enough to be noticed by an agent.
• ... but the book is on its way. Spirit is encouraging me.
• Don’t despair, Simon, ... I feel and look confident, but spirit sees the despair that I hide. ... it will go well, as we are behind your every word. We trust in your judgement as you trust in ours. Spirit encourages me again, and then lets me know they’re always with me. They’re saying thank you for trusting them, and again they support me.
• We feel you should continue in the way you’re going. I’ve been thinking about e-books and the traditional path of agent publisher. Spirit is encouraging me to stay on the path, but the choice is still mine. They’re suggesting, not directing, and make me aware of the big opportunities out there.
• We just need you to get through this big hurdle at the moment. Make the time and all will be well. This is about a property settlement with my ex-partner. I made the time and it ended well. Hang on, it won’t take much longer. It didn’t take long to finalise.
• Think from the heart before opening your mouth. Bad choices will make you stumble, so always watch your step. Spirits reminding me to always be compassionate. In the past I’ve been quick to defend myself and have reacted emotionally rather than with common sense. If I continue to do this I’ll stumble and not fulfil the dreams I have.
