This something I've challenged many healers on. They actually don't believe that it will get a result. Disclosure is important because we're working with emotion/consciousness. Those frequencies restrict the flow of information & healthy responses.

Talk soon, Simon :)Simon Hayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09384384882217609761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5277856885606954220.post-32659337011366411422013-04-18T23:53:52.437+10:002013-04-18T23:53:52.437+10:00Hi Simon, Nice article! I found you through twitter.

It is a bit odd that the client didn't mention their condition up front, but some will do that if they are new to healing and don't know what to expeect. I'm a healer too, and at the 1st session I always ask about medical history. Whether they have depression, addictions, cancer, or just stress, etc, makes a difference to how I go about the healing session. Clients don't know that though, so it helps to explain why we ask for this information. As a healer I also want to be sure that they seek medical care and not view Energy Healing as alternative.

To your point though, the clients belief in their own healing potential plays a big part too. I have heard that healing tends to work well with animals who have cancer, because they have no beliefs of expectations about it. By "well" I don't know if it means they respond well and perk up a bit, or if the tumor shrinks.

With human clients, I also think its important for them to heal whatever might be going on emotionally, under the surface. Anger, resentment, etc and sometimes depression are said to be "emotional risk factors" for cancer. I'm publishing a book on the topic in the next month or two - a energy healing guide for cancer patients. it would be really nice to discuss it at some point. =)

Regina ~ Diary of a Psychic HealerReginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00175897694664410965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5277856885606954220.post-13982801284160737942012-12-21T04:07:31.755+10:002012-12-21T04:07:31.755+10:00I have been giving some thought to your discussion...I have been giving some thought to your discussion of awareness in the context of formulating a working relationship with your client.

It is perculiar to me that a client, in coming to you, would not want to diclose their medical history as part of building a spiritual history. They have come to you - they might be sceptical of you - but they have come to you none the less. It is incumbent upon you to build a detailed history of your client through the process of assessment but you can only do that if the client is willing to volunteer that information.

Physical illness, including cancer, are surely tied to the spiritual meridians (is that correct term?) therefore identification of changes in the spiritual meridians by yourself as a practitioner would be fairly easy - yes?

Diagnosis and treatment of those changes can only be achieved effectively - just as it is in conventional medicine - by good assessment at the outset.

I'm interested in the term "host" as it appears in your article. What does that mean?

Also, the sores that your client described in her nose are what is referred to as mucositis. Put simply, it is inflammation of the mucosa or the lining of the nasal passages which is a common effect of chemotherapy medications. Mucositis needs to be carefully monitored as you can imagine and their are various topical as well as antiseptic/anti-inflammatory treatments that are employed to manage and minimize mucositis in cancer patients.DeanfromAustraliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12292995600982621329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5277856885606954220.post-33674835558507782982012-12-19T06:26:11.979+10:002012-12-19T06:26:11.979+10:00Hi Dean, thank you for your input. I've past immediate and surprising health responses with clients with cancer. I wish I knew the exact reason why. It may not be for the reasons I believe. Thank you again.
